Mystic Connecticut is considered a hotspot for restaurants, they have some of the best in Connecticut. Rio Salado, an authentic Mexican themed flare is a new favorite. It’s conveniently situated at the top of the hill on Coogan Blvd across from the famous Olde Mistick village. Rio Salado provides guests with a mix of a New York vibe, while still holding on to Mystic’s quaint feel. From the second you walk into this upscale atmosphere, you know it’s not only about the amazing food but the entire experience. The decor is classy and fun. The service is top notch. They provide indoor and outdoor sitting. Somehow Rio Salado lends an exclusive feel, yet is very family-friendly at the same time. Guests are welcomed starting with General Manager Mike and dazzled by the fantastic Chef Fran. Chef Fran has created a dynamic menu, which has guests coming back for more. They offer the best table side Guacamole around. It’s hard not to order the Holy Mole Nachos topped with pickled red onions and homemade crema which satisfies any craving. Their selection of fresh tacos and enchiladas makes it hard to choose, which is why you have to go back. Their cocktail selection is first-rate. The Pina Asada complements the guacamole and nachos perfectly. But you can’t forget about the margaritas or sangria. Then there’s the Carne Brava, a 16oz ribeye that is one of the best in Mystic. Before you go, definitely have dessert. It’s a difficult choice between the flan and tres leches, both melt in your mouth. If you are searching best restaurant mystic ct or restaurant mystic ct, look no further then Rio Salado! Enjoy! Overall the experience is superior.
