For course 1 we went with the salad bar. One thing that I love about Steak Loft is there salad bar. It is the perfect starter for any entree. Random tip: you can even just get the salad bar as your entree. What makes the salad bar great is that it has something for everyone. You can get field greens, iceberg wedge, or chopped romaine. They have plenty of toppings like onions, cucumbers, carrots, tomatoes, bacon, cheese, croutons, and many more. You can also get a great variety of salad dressings like blue cheese, ranch, house garlic, and balsamic. There are also other salad options like Italian antipasto, coleslaw, and pasta salad. And if that all wasn’t enough they have a variety of sliced breads and butter. Since it is like an all you can eat salad bar you do have you control yourself and not overflow your plate or plates. You still have to save room for the main course.
For course 2 we went with the Sliced Garlic Steak. With this entree you get the choice of mashed potatoes, baked potato, steak fries, or stuffed baked potato. We went with the mashed potatoes and the baked potato with sour cream and butter. The sliced steak was a juicy, buttery, and garlicky. It was cooked perfectly with a light grill char on the outside and soft on the inside. The potatoes were also a great pairing. The mashed potatoes were also nice and buttery and full of garlic flavor. They were a nice smooth texture and very creamy.
For dessert we got the flourless chocolate cake. It was a hard decision as both the apple crisp and pumpkin bread pudding sounded delicious. Just from looking at the cake I could tell it would be a rich and deliciously dense cake. Usually the smaller the chocolate cake the richer in flavor. It was very accurate in this case. The cake had a good rich flavor and was the perfect ending to a heavy and flavorful meal.
